Where are the Best Places to Stay in Greece
Written by Anna James | Posted in Hotels Updated 20-May

stay-in-greeceWhether your holiday in Greece is pleasant or unpleasant will depend in large part, on your accommodations. A great hotel will enhance it, while a not-so-good-one will have the opposite effect. Fortunately, there are many great places to stay during your holiday in Greece.

Boutique hotels are really popular with travelers and for good reason. They offer an alternative to many of the boring, uninspired, run-of-the-mill places. Boutique hotels are unique, often times quite beautiful and have great support staffs. Many are upscale. They are the ideal way to spend time in Greece. Below, we’ve listed four terrific places to stay during your Greece holiday. All of are highly-rated.

Money Saving Tip #6
Use Travelex.com to get the best rates on your currency (better than the Post Office!).

Kefalari Suites: Kefalari suites are located on the outskirts of Athens, in Kifissia to be exact, a suburb of Athens. They are housed in a three-story building. The elegant hotel was once a getaway for well-to-do Athenians. It was located in the countryside and allowed them a reprieve from the city. That would eventually change. Athens has since encroached on the area and today the building was converted into a hotel. If you don’t want to rent a car, you don’t have to. The suites are located on the city train line, which makes travel to and throughout the city of Athens a breeze.

O&B Athens Boutique Hotel: This hotel is located in Psiri, Athens, near the world-famous Acropolis. Visitors in need of a quick and delicious meal can dine at the hotel’s own restaurant. O & B Athens is near the Plaka’s flea market district. This location is perfect for those of you that like to shop. There are plenty of local bistros, so getting a bite to eat is very convenient. Each room has WiFi and a separate phone number with voice mail.

Casa Delfino: The Casa Delfino hotel is located in Chania, Crete. It consists of suites and apartments for those planning a longer stay. Chania is one of Crete’s best little coastal towns and perfect for tourists. The Casa Delfino is housed inside of a 17th Century mansion near the waterfront. The rooms are very upscale with marble floors. The suites have Jacuzzis.

Money Saving Tip #4
Build your custom holiday with Expedia.com not only enjoy the holiday of your dreams but save a fortune too!

AVA Hotel Athens: This great hotel is located in Athens. The rooms are spacious and beautifully designed. Rooms come with a kitchenette, complete with a stove, stocked mini bar and dishes. The hotel’s location is convenient and the service very good.

During your next Greece holiday, consider staying at a boutique hotel. These tend to be smaller and more intimate. They are also often designed beautifully, have a great wait staff and offer visitors a unique and memorable experience.
