| Recommended Things to do in Greece |

The peak tourist season is July and August, and there is nothing quite likes touring Greece with all the other excited and curious tourists. If choosing to go these times of year do expect crowds, lineups and waits. Some pre planning and booking will alleviate this but the hustle and the bustle is part of the experience. The things to do in Greece are endless and here are just some recommended things to do: Money Saving Tip #6 Use Travelex.com to get the best rates on your currency (better than the Post Office!). •Got to a beach- you have to spend some time on the beaches, and there are plenty to visit. The turquoise water and the amazing scenery are like nothing you have seen before. In Greece there are different types of beaches such as party beaches, family beaches and nude beaches. There is a beach for everyone yet it’s advisable to check before hand which beach you are going to and the type so you don’t end up taking the kids to the nude beach, unless that’s ok. •Watch the sunrise- it is said you haven’t seen a more majestic sunrise then the one you will see in Santorini. It has been deemed one of the best in Europe. The views offered by the volcano ridge mixed with the sun rays are said to be absolutely breathtaking. •The Acropolis- the most important landmark in Greece. Give yourself a full day here it’s absolutely captivating and a must see. While there take a tour of the new Acropolis museum. •Palace of Knossos- if visiting Crete this is a must see as well. Try early morning if possible as it gets quite hot in the day. Right now 800 of the 1300 rooms can be seen. This site is impressive beyond words. •Windmills of Mykonos- these date back to the 16th century and were used to grind wheat. There are 16 of them on the island. While in Mykonos you may want to stay and dance the night away. It is said they have the best nightclubs in Greece and many tourists flock here. I hear the animated nightlife is fun. •Old Town in Rhodes- go back to the medieval days here with an impressive display of what it was like back then, it’s been fully restored to its former glory. •Greek Islands- if possible spend a day sailing through the Greek Islands you will not be disappointed. Money Saving Tip #2 Book your hotel through Booking.com and get the lowest rate for your hotel..guaranteed! Obviously the suggestions above are just that and just the tip of the iceberg on what there is to do in Greece. Much of what to do is dependent on what time of year you go, how long you have to spend, where in Greece you are and who is travelling with you. Yet before your Greece holiday do take the time to familiarize yourself with what there is available for where you will be going. Planning is the key and I have no doubt where ever you go you will have the time of your life.
