The Red Beach near Akrotiri is worth a visit, although it takes a bit of effort to get there. It is often crowded, and if you are bringing along children, keep in mind that there are topless women sunbathing there. If you'd like to take a walk at the white sandy beach, you'll need to get a boat from Akrotiri or the Red Beach as it is only accessible by the sea.
