Well summer time is here and so is the holiday season. Now comes the decision on where you want to go for that holiday. How about a Greece holiday? It’s an amazing and culturally rich place to go to. Whether you have a few days or a few months or anything in between it’s a one of a kind place to travel to. Due to its popularity it’s always possible to find cheap flights as well. Being able to find cheap flights will depend on a few different things.

The two important factors would be where are you planning on travelling to and when do you plan on leaving. Generally the more flexible that you can be the better the chances are of finding cheap flights to Greece. Feel free to do this on your own or you can choose to have a travel agent do this for you. It’s a great idea to start out by finding when it is you want to travel. Here are a few things to keep in mind when trying to find cheap flights to Greece:

•Try to book at least 60 to 90 days before  your desired time of travel

•Book really late if when you leave is not as set in stone, and try to get the last minute deals. There are some great deals to be had yet it can be nerve wracking.

•Try to get a flight and a great price to London, Paris, Rome or Munich then get a cheap flight to Greece. Not always is it cheaper this way but again you can find some great deals this way.

•Be prepared to fly any day of the week. If you are flexible for this some days are cheaper than others to travel.

•If you are considering a tour or a cruise check and see if there are flights included they may possibly be cheaper.

•Try what they call an open-jaw flight. This is where you fly into Athens yet when returning home you leave from Heraklion, Rhodes, Thessaloniki or Kerkya. May take a bit more time yet it can be a lot cheaper.

•If checking flights online don’t click and pay on the first one. Just because they say cheapest flight isn’t always true. Make sure to take your time to look through yourself, it could save you lots of money. On a recent test of cheap flights, within minutes of each other, I was quoted the cheapest price which ranged from $953 to $1842, big difference.

•Athens or Crete only- beware when searching for cheap flights and the search suggests you take another destination other than Athens, there isn’t any other than Crete.

•Double-check cheapness- if finding a cheap price online, call the airlines and ask them if there are any promotions or is that the rock bottom price. There is no harm in asking and one never knows.

•Search at night- this may sound funny but many deals and flight prices get posted at night. The time difference makes this hard but usually around midnight is when these deals and such would be posted.

So as you can see there is the chance to get cheap flights to Greece. Much of it depends on you. As well many airlines are struggling right now which normally means they will get some promotional deals out there to boost business. Be persistent when looking it may take some time to find that just right deal for you and have a wonderful Greece holiday.
